Program Description
Spend an unforgettable day in the company of some of Thailand's most fascinating animals! During this half-day visit to an elephant conservation centre, you will get to know these gentle giants, learn about their natural behaviour and discover the importance of responsible elephant care. This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with nature while taking part in engaging educational activities.
Your experience begins with a short introduction to Asian elephants, their needs and the principles of ethical elephant care. Next, take part in a unique workshop where you will learn how eco-friendly paper is made from elephant dung. Discover the production process and see how natural materials can be reused in a sustainable way.
The next stop is Elephant Village, where you will meet the elephants and their caretakers, known as mahouts. You will have the opportunity to observe the elephants as they roam freely around a designated area and watch them enjoy a refreshing rainwater shower. You might even get splashed by one of these playful giants!
During your visit, you will also learn about elephant nutrition and take part in preparing food and special nutritional balls for the animals. Another unusual activity awaits – planting grass for the elephants by scattering seeds using a slingshot.
To round off your experience, enjoy lunch at the on-site restaurant before heading back. This fascinating encounter will give you a deeper understanding of elephants' needs and the importance of their conservation.
