Program Description
Discover a lesser-known side of Thailand and experience the everyday life of local communities in Krabi! During this unique excursion, you will venture off the beaten track to visit traditional villages, learn about local customs and admire picturesque landscapes. This is a perfect opportunity for those who want to experience the authentic atmosphere of Thailand and explore places rarely visited by tourists.
Your journey begins with a visit to a local community specialising in cashew nut production, a traditional activity for which the Krabi region is well known. Learn about the methods of processing cashew nuts and their importance to the local community. Next, visit a local primary school, where you will have the opportunity to meet teachers and children and gain insight into everyday life in a Thai community.
The adventure continues with a scenic cruise on a traditional long-tail boat, offering approximately 20 minutes of beautiful views of the surrounding landscapes. Afterwards, switch to a samlor, a traditional local means of transport commonly used in Krabi, and make your way to Koh Klang Island.
This small fishing island, surrounded by lush mangrove forests, has preserved its traditional charm and peaceful atmosphere. Here, you will discover the daily lives of local residents, whose traditions are closely connected to fishing and nature. Away from the busy tourist resorts, experience the authentic character of the region.
During your visit, enjoy lunch at a floating restaurant, where you can savour local flavours in a unique waterfront setting. To round off the experience, board a traditional long-tail boat once again for a short return journey to Krabi Town.
