Cruise to Parga and Sivota Islands

A cruise along the coast of mainland Greece is the perfect way to discover picturesque bays, turquoise Ionian waters and some of the most breathtaking landscapes of the Epirus region. During this full-day excursion, you will combine relaxation on board with the opportunity to explore historic sites, charming seaside towns and hidden coves accessible only by sea.

The journey begins at the port of Corfu, where you will admire panoramic views of Corfu Old Town, the two Venetian fortresses, the Kanoni peninsula and the Mon Repos Palace - the birthplace of Prince Philip. The cruise then continues south towards the Greek mainland, passing Igoumenitsa, Plataria and the beautiful Sivota Islands.

One of the most unforgettable moments of the trip is entering the spectacular Sivota Cave, where the Greek submarine “Papanikolis” was hidden during the Second World War. Sailing through the narrow channels of the Sivota Islands, you will admire lush green landscapes considered among the most beautiful coastal scenery in western Greece.

The next stop is the famous Blue Lagoon, a bay renowned for its exotic turquoise waters. According to local legends, Arabian pirates used this sheltered spot as a refuge during the Middle Ages. The ship will anchor close to the beach, giving you the opportunity to swim and snorkel in the crystal-clear Ionian Sea.

Later, you will arrive in picturesque Parga, one of the most charming seaside towns in the Epirus region. Colourful houses, narrow streets, waterfront tavernas and a relaxed Mediterranean atmosphere have earned Parga the nickname “the pearl of western Greece”. Overlooking the harbour is the impressive Venetian castle, whose history dates back to the 11th century. The fortress was repeatedly destroyed and rebuilt during conflicts between the Venetians and the Ottoman Empire.

During your free time in Parga, you may stroll through the atmospheric streets, visit the Venetian castle, relax in a traditional Greek taverna or discover hidden beaches and scenic viewpoints.

A bar serving drinks and snacks is available on board throughout the cruise. Be sure to keep your camera ready - dolphins are sometimes spotted along the route.
