Program Description

Visit Meteora, one of Greece's most extraordinary landmarks and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Perched atop towering rock pillars, its spectacular monasteries have fascinated visitors for centuries with their breathtaking setting and remarkable history.

During the excursion, you will visit two monasteries – Saint Stephen, Varlaam or Rousanou (depending on opening hours). You will learn about the monks who built these remarkable sanctuaries on seemingly inaccessible cliffs, creating one of Greece's most important monastic communities.

As you explore the monasteries, you will admire their impressive architecture, historic interiors and breathtaking views of Meteora's dramatic rock formations and the surrounding valleys.
