Program Description

Explore the authentic side of Cyprus on a full-day jeep safari through the island's mountainous interior. This adventure takes you away from the popular coastal resorts to discover traditional villages, beautiful natural landscapes and places rarely visited by tourists. Travelling along small asphalt roads and well-maintained dirt tracks, you'll experience a combination of nature, local traditions and cultural heritage.

Your journey takes you through some of Cyprus' most diverse and constantly changing landscapes aboard a 4x4 vehicle. Along the way, you'll pass through traditional villages, where narrow streets, stone-built houses and scenic surroundings offer a glimpse into rural Cypriot life. One of the stops will be Dipotamos Dam, surrounded by the island's picturesque countryside.

Next, visit Lefkara, a traditional village renowned for its handmade lace and silverware. Stroll through its narrow streets, admire the distinctive stone architecture and discover the craftsmanship that has made the village famous around the world. During your visit, you'll also be welcomed with a complimentary drink.

The adventure continues through Mesa Potamos Forest, following the course of a mountain river upstream. Enjoy a scenic drive through the woodland, followed by the opportunity for a short walk through the forest towards the river. This peaceful natural setting also provides excellent opportunities for photographs.

Another highlight is a beautiful mountain waterfall, where ice-cold water cascades down a rocky cliff. Surrounded by lush vegetation and cool spring waters, this picturesque location is ideal for a short break and a chance to enjoy the tranquillity of nature.

You'll also visit Omodos, one of the best-known villages in the Limassol wine-growing region. Wander along its charming cobbled streets or relax at a traditional kafenio with a cup of Cypriot coffee. There will also be an opportunity to visit the Monastery of the Holy Cross (Timios Stavros), a historic religious landmark traditionally associated with Saint Helena and dating back to 327 AD.

During the day, enjoy an included lunch at a traditional mountain village taverna, featuring a selection of freshly prepared local dishes, including vegetarian options. Wine, water and lemonade are also included with the meal, offering a chance to sample authentic Cypriot flavours in a relaxed setting.
