Program Description
Cairns Aquarium is a modern attraction where you can discover the remarkable wildlife of Australia’s aquatic and terrestrial environments. Around 16,000 animals live across 70 different habitats, many of them representing the unique ecosystems of Far North Queensland.
During your visit, see sharks, stingrays, sawfish, turtles, seahorses, moray eels and a wide variety of colourful tropical fish. The aquarium also features reptile areas, where you can encounter species such as pythons.
One of the main highlights is the shark feeding experience, offering the chance to observe these impressive predators up close. You can also visit interactive touch tanks and learn more about selected marine animals and reptiles.
Important information
- Lockers are available on-site.
- Children under 3 can enter free of charge, but a free ticket must be selected for them.
- Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
- Concession tickets are available for pensioners, students and persons with disabilities. Valid proof of eligibility is required.
- Seniors must present a valid concession card.
- The daily Ray and Shark Feeding Show takes place at 11:00.
- The Coral Biobank Tour takes place at 11:45.
- Turtle Tours take place at 11:30 and 12:30. Each tour is limited to a maximum of 10 guests, and participants should arrive 15 minutes before the start.
- Flash photography and touching the sea turtles are not permitted, as this may affect their recovery.
- Show your smartphone ticket at the entrance.
- Last admission is 1 hour before closing time.

Vouchers
- You'll receive your voucher via email, immediately after booking.
- To gain entry, you'll need to exchange it for the actual entrance ticket.
- Show your voucher to the local representative, who will issue your entrance ticket, or contact the tour operator for help (contact details are in your confirmation email and on the voucher).
