Transfer from the hotel to the airport for a short flight to Luxor. Breakfast before departure or after landing in Luxor (depending on departure time). Afterwards meet your guide. First stop will be the Valley of the Kings, the burial place of Pharaohs including Tutankhamun, Seti I and Ramses II, where there are many intricately decorated tombs. Next, visit the rock-cut Temple of Hatshepsut, a stunning burial temple built for today's most famous female pharaoh. Tour the interiors full of unique terraces and impressive statues and reliefs that tell the story of her reign. The next stop on the tour will be the Colossi of Memnon, two massive stone statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III that have been awe-inspiring in their monumental beauty for more than 3,400 years. Then it's time for a break and lunch at a local restaurant, where authentic Egyptian cuisine is served. In the afternoon, visit the Karnak temple complex, one of the largest and most impressive temple complexes in the world. A walk through the vast courtyards, grand halls and among the tall columns reveals the history and significance of this ancient site. Finally, visit the Luxor Temple, dedicated to the Theban triad of Amon, Mut and Khonsu, featuring majestic obelisks, statues and superbly preserved hieroglyphs. Evening transfer to the airport, flight to Cairo and return transfer to the hotel.
