Program Description

Pickup from hotels is provided, followed by a drive to Haller Park, located south of the Bamburi cement plant. The park's history dates back to 1971, when efforts began to transform disused limestone quarries into a diverse ecosystem including forests, grasslands, and ponds. Today, the park serves as a habitat for numerous wildlife species, such as hippos, giraffes, buffaloes, crocodiles, savannah cats, and other mammals, as well as various species of birds.

The park is divided into several zones, including a wildlife reserve, a reptile park, a fish farm, a palm garden, crocodile enclosures, and a giraffe viewing platform. Educational attractions also draw many visitors each year. The park’s flora is extremely rich and diverse, ranging from mangrove palms to rare coastal forest plants. Numerous bird species can be observed, including kingfishers, storks, owls, ibises, and eagles. This is an ideal place for nature lovers. The tour ends with a return to the hotels.
