Varna sightseeing tour and Dolphinarium

The first stop is the Ancient Fortress at Cape St. Athanasius near the town of Byala. This remarkable archaeological site is home to the largest ancient wine-production centre discovered in Bulgaria to date. During your visit, you will learn about the settlement’s history and its transformation over the centuries - from a sacred sanctuary to a fortified town and an early Christian bishopric.

The excursion then continues to Varna, one of the most important cities on Bulgaria’s Black Sea coast. You will visit the impressive Dormition of the Mother of God Cathedral, one of the city’s best-known landmarks. There will also be time to stroll through the lively centre of Varna, experience its atmosphere and enjoy free time for lunch.

Another highlight of the day is a visit to the Varna Dolphinarium. During the show, you will have the opportunity to watch dolphins demonstrate their remarkable abilities and learn more about these intelligent marine mammals.

After the visit, you will return to your hotel.
